Today I am aiming to go in my frees to my media class to complete a few of my planning tasks. Yesterday although there was a teacher strike I still came in for my media lesson due to my teacher being in. Therefore I finally managed to complete the rest of my research tasks and made a start on my planning tasks again. Yesterday I made two voki's one of Megan Brant who is starring in my music video and one of the originial singer. Likewise I made a questionaire and asked for my class mates to fill it in as they were appropriate and relevant for my intended target audience.

Research Into Music Director

Research Into Music Director For Foundations:

The song “Foundations" is a song co-written by British singer-songwriter Kate Nash for her debut album Made of Bricks which was released in 2007. This song was both written and sung by the artist due to her wide range of skills and knowledge within the music industry. The album was released in
June 2007 and was apart of her fist single since signing with Friction Records.

Summary of the artist-
Kate Nash was born on 6 July 1987 in Harrow, London to an English father, Steve Nash, and an Irish mother, Marie.  In 2008, following intensive touring, Nash had what she described as a "proper breakdown", due to going back to her mild obsessive-compulsive disorder which she had experienced as a child. On 2 September 2009, Kate Nash set up her own MySpace and Facebook face in which to act as a charity to help raise money for a young girl called Tilly. The young girl lost her hands due to meningococcal disease. Kate Nash used the auction site eBay to help donate and raise money for the girl in order for her to be able to afford a pair of prosthetic hands.

In today's lesson as my teacher is not in I am planning to focus on my planning and research tasks for the whole two periods. This gives me an opportunity to catch up and get further ahead of everyone else and therefore I will be able to concentrate on my filming stages. I hope to finish both my planning and research tasks by the end of these two weeks as over the October half term I hope to construct the majority of my filming enabling me to edit it when I'm back from the weeks break.

Images of Location

Here are some photo's that illustrate where I am hoping to film, however I am aware that some of them I wont be able to use due to accessibility for everyone. All images consist of the Lido in Ruislip, Hyde Park, and Ruislip Woods. I will be using more locations for example internal shots however I have not managed to get images of them yet. I aim to film inside Haydon School as I hope to use their main stage in their hall.

In today's lesson I have made sure that I have looked through other peoples blogs not only to make sure that I am up to date but to check if there are any extra tasks I can add to my blog. Similarly I have finished my analysis of Kate Nashs music video foundations due to picking the song to remake when producing my own music video. I aim to add more videos to my blog to make it different and original to the rest of the candiates I am up against.

Prop List

Prop List
  • Lanterns
  • Bubble wrap
  • Hula hoops
  • Rucksack
  • Suitcase
  • Maltesers
  • Umbrella
I have decided to use these props as throughout my music video I want to display a simplictic theme allowing the main female protagonist to have a fun and quirky likeable side to her. Likewise  by having a range of props allows the audience to maintained engaged as the scenery and items used are constantly changing and therefore allows the audience to be unable to guess whats going to happen next.
